Workflow Toolbar
Overview
When you click to edit an existing workflow you will be taken to the Workflow Detail page. This page displays useful information about the workflow including metadata and logs of past executions.
To continue to the workflow diagram click the ‘Edit Workflow’ button in th etop
Toolbar
The toolbar consist of a menu and a set of tool buttons.
Menu
New
Starts a new workflow with a single start node. If you have unsaved work you will be prompted to stay on you current workflow to allow you to save your unsaved work.
Load
Loads an existing workflow into the designer for inspection or editing. On clicking ‘Load’ you will be presented with the ‘Select Workflow’ picker.
Select a workflow from the list and click ‘Load’ to load the workflow into the designer. Click cancel to return to the designer and cancel the load process.
Save
Save the current workflow to the cloud. It is important that you save your workflows so that they are not loast when you navigate away from the designer.
If the workflow has not previously been saved, you will be prompted to give the workflow a title. Give your workflows meaningful title so that they are easy to pick out from a list of different workflows. The title is used in logging, reports and many other parts of paygate and so choosing a good title is a good idea.
If the workflow has been previously saved then the existing title will be used and the workflow will save in the background.
If you want to save the workflow with a different title then use ‘Save As’
Save As
Save as can be used to save a new workflow and works the same way as ‘Save’.
You can also use ‘Save As’ to save the current workflow with a new title. Rather than rename the current workflow, ‘Save As’ will actually create a copy of the current workflow using your new title. Therefore the result of ‘Save As’ is a new workflow and the original workflow with the original name.
Undo
Removes the last change you made to the Workflow. You can also use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+z or the undo button on the toolbar.
Redo
Reverse the last undo stepping foward through previous changes. You can also use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+y or the redo button on the toolbar.
Cut
Cut is a common clipboard feature and works the same way as most application. You can also use the keyboard shortcut ctrl-x.
This feature ‘cuts’ the currently selected design items and places them in the clipboards.
You can select items in a number of ways: - Click the coloured header of nodes. A thich border will appear around the node to show it is selected. You can select multiple items by holding down the ctrl key. - You the lasoo tool to draw a border around items. Any item completely enclosed in the lasoo area will be selected. - Use ctrl-a to select all items on the designer.
