Create Service Account

Overview

When creating a service account, you first need to select the type you want, based on this you may need to give some more information, but the base is just the type and a description.

Create Service Account

Once created, you will be taken back to the list of service accounts.

API Service Account

This service account you can use and control access to, it will act like a normal user in the paygate world, that means you will have to setup the roles, assign it to groups and anything else you would do for a normal user. As it’s meant for automated/machine to machine access to the system it will not be restricted to the login or password policy setup in the security policy.

This allows you to finely tune your service accounts and either have one that does everything or many that do little bits in the system.

Other Account Types

Other account types are one’s we’ve designed to have a specific purpose and may need to be setup before using another service of ours that needs to connect to our services, if you’re a managed customer we will do this for you, if not you’re expected to manage these yourselves.
